The Zagreb trip was unusual in that we had almost a full extra day at Boris and Dijanas’s skate rink in Saboboor on the Friday, complete with learning to play hockey, then Croatia’s first ever official Street Skate (with Police escort) followed by Roller Disco and Dance class!
Saturday we skated to Jarun Lake…. blissful smoothness. Stops and Powerslide lessons on the way. Food Market shopping for Park Picnic and frisbee in the sun. Rest. Digest.
I taught my first (maybe second) yoga class in my life. Very nervous. I value my yoga teachers even more now. Was fun encouraging my skate students to straighten their knees in balancing yoga postures. The complete opposite muscles from bent knee skating.

We had sunshine all day DESPITE continuous thunderstorm forecasts. It was pouring as we got out of the car at home. I’m very proud of the 9 hardcore crew who opted to skate back together un-marshalled.

I’m so blessed to meet and work with fantastic people like Chiqui who is a regular Marshall on my trips. She also translates my online courses into Spanish.
Sunday was perfectly sunny for City Tour and Lessons.
Beautiful architecture, smooth lesson stops, some fountains, divine lake lap and happy heart.
This trip looked doomed a week before the start with thunderstorms and heavy rain predicted for each day. As we left the cafe after our end of trip drinks, it started to rain through the sunshine. We were blessed and our prayers answered.
What a fantastic city and Trip. Zagreb will be repeated one summer soon.
