What better way to kick off the 2025 skate season than with a trip to the world’s most iconic skating city – Paris?
Our recent Skatefresh Paris adventure brought together skaters from the UK, Spain, Switzerland, Germany, Luxembourg, and France for a long weekend of gliding, laughing, and learning in the sun-soaked streets of the French capital.
Trip Highlights? Too many to list… but here’s a taste:
- Rolling through the legendary Friday Night Skate, with around 300 skaters.
- Daytime tours past Parisian landmarks: the Louvre, Palais Royale, Eiffel Tower, Champs Élysées, Notre Dame, St Germain, Bastille, and along the stunning Seine.
- Sunday’s Rollers & Coquillages group skate, which took us up into northeast Paris and gifted us an unforgettable, extended downhill return stretch — pure bliss! Check out this Instagram Reel (below) of one of these slopes.
- Lesson time focused on stopping method combos, transitions, backwards skating, and handling downhill slopes with style and control.
- Perfect skating weather all weekend — no rain, no wind, and just-right temps (a rare treat for early May!).
- And a special shoutout to Tiago, French YouTuber and one of our awesome marshals for the trip.
It’s hard to top the energy, scenery, and camaraderie of a Skatefresh trip, and Paris set the bar sky-high for the season ahead.
