Are you a complete beginner?

Skated years ago and starting again?

Self-taught but can't stop properly?

Have you discovered skating is harder than it looks?

You want to skate but can't afford to get injured from falling?

Using the Skatefresh method, you'll avoid any embarrassment, learn to skate, stop and turn and know EXACTLY how to find --your balance in each moment.

What Will You Learn?

  • On-grass basics;
    How to fall correctly
    Skating positions (feet and body)
    How to prevent falling
  • How to skate absolutely right so that falling is rare.
  • Basic Movement – Slow, gentle, controlled skating.
  • Plough Stop – Your first simple stop.
  • Heel Brake Stop – INLINE skates.
  • Toe Stop Drag Stop – ROLLER skates.

If you are very anxious about skating or very fearful of falling, we recommend a private lesson for your first time on skates. This means you can go at your own pace.

After completing our Beginner group lesson, choose to 'graduate' to our Improver group class or repeat another beginner group depending on how well you mastered the beginner syllabus.

PLEASE NOTE: The minimum age for these classes is 14yrs. If you require skate lessons for children below this age, please enquire about private lessons.

PLEASE NOTE:

YOU WILL NEED TO BRING YOUR OWN SKATES, WRIST GUARDS AND KNEE PADS AS THESE ARE NOT SUPPLIED BY SKATEFRESH
