New experiences included a mini “shamal” (sandstorm) during class, polished marble floors and the signing of T-shirt’s/helmets/iPhones! The group of skaters in Abu Dhabi were so pleased to see me and so eager to learn and improve I felt like we were long lost friends. Within a week of the workshop they were already on the WhatsApp group arranging to practice and sending me videos of their drills. Now that’s what I call Great Students!
Huge thanks to my cousin Penny Tragett for her incredible hospitality, generosity and for driving me everywhere and showing me Dubai. I loved staying at her place on the “trunk” of The Palm, enjoying an afternoon at the beach and a sumptuous afternoon Tea in possibly the poshest hotel I’ve ever stepped foot in.
Next stop Uganda and an idyllic stay with my father.
