Trip Itinerary

Friday Night Street Skate 11th Sept

Meet from 1930 at The entrance of the “Centro Comercial La Vila” for 2000 departure
https://maps.app.goo.gl/DE68KHGd5YXcA6hH9

We kick off the trip by joining Barcelonas popular Friday Night Skate. It is always thrilling to join the local skate crowds around their city and to see it buzzing on a Friday night. Barcelona is THE Street Skating City with street skates almost every night of the week.

The speed of the BCN FNS street skate is similar to Londons Wednesday night skate (faster than Sunday Stroll but slower than FNS). You need to have been street skating regularly if you want to join this part of the Trip. This street skate is not suitable for beginner street skaters as Barcelona is build on the side of a mountain and hills and slopes are normal.

Saturday 12th Sept

Meet at Plaza Catalunya (9:15am)

The Trip kicks off with Stopping practice then sightseeing tour on skates where we’ll skate the entire Avenida Diagonal (which means a delightfully relaxing slight downhill all day long). We’ll see the major famous sites; Sagrada Familia, Plaza Cataluna, Plaza dEspana, some of Gaudis famous houses and several different neighbourhoods. Saturdays skate will end with a beach promenade skate where we will then hit the beach for a swim and a drink at the end of the day (the perfect finale to a day on skates)..

On the final day we discover the central areas of the city and skate the famous Las Ramblas and the Gothic Quarter and tackle the mountain of Montijuc. We finish mid afternoon 4pm so there is enough time to still get flights home that evening. There is some lesson time built into the tours on both days. There is no countryside aspect to this trip.
