Valencia Trip September 2019

Join Asha for an unforgettable weekend of skating, touring and lesson time in Valencia and surrounds.

Day 1: Friday 13th September at 7.15pm (for 8pm departure)

We begin the weekend by joining the local skaters on their Friday Night Skate (but I’ve asked them to include some of the city’s best sites on our route).

Day 2: Saturday 14th September

Time: t.b.a. (once preliminary route checks are done, approx. 9:30am)
We begin Saturday’s skate with a visit to the central market to buy delicious snacks and continue our skate through the city to the beach where we follow the ocean and lunch on traditional and delicious Paella. This will be the official group meal leaving Saturday evening free to enjoy the many restaurants in Valencia (we’ll be recommending these to you closer to the time).
Bring your swimmers as some beach time after lunch in included.
An optional “Yoga for Skaters” session is available from our special guest yoga teacher (not Asha).
Some lesson stops will be included throughout the day to focus your attention on different skills and develop your all round skating. But the majority of lesson time will be on Sunday.

Day 2: Sunday 15th September

Time: t.b.a. (once preliminary route checks are done, approx. 9:30am)
Sunday’s route begins with a historical tour of the old centre of Valencia including a lap of the cathedral.
We’ll continue to the Port area and have some more dedicated lesson time on beautifully smooth skater only open areas. We’ll tour the port which is all very skateable and stop for a quick lunch at the local skater’s bar (but other options available).
We’ll finish the day’s skating by max 4pm.

Cost: £150

The price includes all skate time, guiding and teaching.
The price does not include any public transport or food & drink.
Once accepted you will be asked to pay a non-returnable deposit of £50 with the balance due one month before the trip.

How To Book

This is an intermediate level skate trip. You must be able to stop on a downhill slope and be able to skate at medium speed for a good length of time. The Saturday skate will be close to 30km so endurance will be needed.

To book your place please contact Trish: If we don’t know your skating level from previous trips or classes, we will send you a questionnaire to complete and Asha may require a video of your skating to be sure you have the skills needed to keep up with the group.

Important: Please do not book any accommodation, tickets or transport until you have been accepted on the Trip.

Meeting Point

Meeting Point for all skate events will be:
Palau de la Música de València
Passeig de l’Albereda, 30
