Adelaide – Stops and Slides – 18 April 2020 @1000-1200
The most important of ALL skate skills is how to stop and every skater should have several high functioning stopping methods in their tool kit (that stop you to a standstill from your highest skating speeds).
If you do just 1 class with Asha, do this one!
We begin with the easier stops and work through to more complex ones. Higher level skaters will perform the same stops and combos but from higher speeds (so increasing significantly the difficulty and challenge).
- Stepping Plough Stop
- T-Stop (so that it actually stops you, both sides, on corners)
- Turn Stops (pre-requisite for Hockey Stop and Parallel Slide)
- Powerslide (forwards entry)
