If you’ve enjoyed Asha’s Youtube tutorials then an entire weekend of her patient and detailed teaching will open your eyes and body to what’s been missing in your skating and how to ‘level up’ with a clear pathway.
Check the workshop descriptions for detailed skills lists to help you decide what you should attend. Inline and quad skaters welcome. Asha will be wearing inlines but she is very familiar with quads and always teaches both in the same classes. Any differences in technique or practice will be explained.

Please Note: These classes are for intermediate level and above skaters. They are not appropriate for complete beginners.

“Asha is one of the best skate instructors in the world. Highly recommend to book a skate class with her.”

“Very pleasing attitude towards teaching, inclusive and comfortable for all levels.”

Saturday 7 Oct 2023

Dublin Stops & Slides Sat 7 Oct 2023 @ 1000-1300

This 3 hour Masterclass will look at several essential stopping methods that every inline & quad skater should have in their repertoire (or be working towards).

What you’ll learn;

  • Plough + Stepping Plough Stop
  • T-Stop
  • Powerslide (inlines) & Backwards Toe Stop (quaddies)
  • Powerstop (or Turn stop variations)
  • How to control your speed (for future use on slopes) by combining different stopping skills and how to come to a complete stop in an emergency.

Quad skaters should have toe stops for this class. Inline skaters do not need a heel brake.

Dublin Stride & Turns Optimiser Sat 7 Oct 2023 @ 1400-1600

Every inline & quad skater spends most of their time on skates JUST SKATING! However, if your skating stride lacks correct technique, you will not get the fitness benefits that skating offers and you may create bad habits over time that can lead to ‘slow onset injuries’ particularly if you skate distances (e.g. ankle, knee, hip pains from persistent pronation on an inside edge).

What you’ll learn;

  • An efficient push, comfortable glide & a regroup that doesn’t V.
  • The Stride Training Sequence. The drill to keep you on track for months/years to come.
  • Parallel Turns (in both directions).

“This class transformed my skating. Feels great to be on the right path now and I understand what a workout skating should be if you’re doing it right.” – Analise (46) Belgium

PLEASE NOTE: This group lesson is appropriate for every level of skater except complete beginners.

  • Mohawk Transitions (forwards to backwards and backwards to forwards).

“I had the pleasure of attending Asha’s skating workshops in Melbourne and her way of teaching “the Skatefresh method” is unlike anything else. Even seasoned skaters at the workshops have gained new knowledge and I’ve unlocked stopping methods that were previously alien to me! Totally worth every minute and the skills gained will be invaluable for years to come.”
Zeno Kobica – Google Review

“Attended the backwards transition class in Perth and it was a lot of fun. Asha broke down the steps to skating backwards and made it easier to understand 🙂 Will definitely be practicing the different steps to skate backwards and transition better :)”
