4 - 8 November 2020 OR 7 - 8 November 2020

Join Asha for 5 (or 2) unforgettable days of skating, touring and lesson time in and around the city of Adelaide

Lessons only in Adelaide – Click Here

To celebrate Skatefresh’s 20th Birthday year, Asha will be returning to Australia…

Join Asha on either a 5 or 2 day Trip touring Adelaide and surrounding areas. Alternatively just take any of the classes on offer over the weekend. (Stops & Slides, Skate Well for Fitness and Speed). Click here for details.

Each day we will skate a different route, seeing the city from all angles and using the best places suitable for lessons, some of them indoors and covered, all with excellent surfaces. Distances covered will vary between 15 and 25 km per day.  Lesson time and technique focus is built into the tour to work on improving your skating while enhancing your fitness and stamina.

If on the 5 or 2 day Trip, 2 weekend classes are included in the Trip price and during touring you will be encouraged to practice your new skills in real world situations, e.g. stopping combinations at speed.

TRIP Itinerary

We begin the 5 day Trip on Weds 4th November in the afternoon with a warm up class session and skills analysis with video session (so we can compare your skills by the end of the Trip).

Relax and enjoy your free time and evenings exploring the city off skates. Additional (optional) off-skates excursions (one including boats) will be announced (with prices) closer to the time as organisation of these is still in process.

Asha is continually available to train and polish your existing skills and you’ll leave the Trip with a bunch of new stopping methods, smoother crossovers, more efficient skating and some new tricks to keep you busy for the rest of the year.

The 5 day Trip includes 2 yoga sessions (2 day Trip includes 1 yoga session) to ensure you don’t get stiff and perhaps inspire a new stretching routine which Asha considers “essential maintenance” for skaters. We will use Asha’s Online course ‘Yoga for Skaters’ to guide these sessions.

This trip is NOT appropriate for beginner skaters and all participants must be able to skate and stop confidently (using at least the heel brake). If you do not use a heel brake then you must be able to control your speed and stop on downhill slopes using any other stopping methods. The ability level of participants on the Trip needs to be closely matched so that the chosen terrain and average speeds can be appropriate for everyone and allow for greater learning.
