ICP Level 3 Certification
The principal aim of the Level III course is to develop a deep knowledge base for instructors who wish to run their own skate schools and train their own instructors. Emphasis is placed on training course participants in “teaching-to-teach” so that they are equipped to train new instructors.There are also workshops on technical understanding and mechanics of inline skating, detection and correction, teaching methodology and other topics necessary to build a base for skate school owners and instructor trainers.Level I and Level II skating skills are used in studying these in-depth aspects of instruction.The Level III course runs over 5 days and includes 4 hours of skating and 1.5 hours of classroom work per day.
The last day is comprised of “teach-to-teach” exams and a final skating skills exam.
Any skill from Level I or Level II may be tested and a high level of
performance is expected on each skill.
