Friday 7th June
We kick off the trip by joining Barcelona’s Friday Night Skate. It is always thrilling to join the local skate crowds around their city and to see it buzzing on a Friday night.
Saturday 8th June
The weekend continues with a sightseeing tour on skates where we will see the Sagrada Familia, Avenida Diagonal, the Olympic park, Place Cataluna, Place d’Espana, Parc Montijuc and several different neighbourhoods. Saturday’s skate will end with a beach promenade skate where we will then hit the beach and swim at the end of the day (the perfect finale to a day on skates).
Sunday 9th June
On the final day we discover the central areas of the city and skate the famous Las Ramblas and the Gothic quarter. We finish mid afternoon so there is enough time to still get flights home that evening.
Accomodotion
Asha will be staying with friends for the weekend and you are free to make your own hotel reservations. We start both skate days at Place Cataluna which is very central and close to several metro stations. The metro in Barcelona is very fast and quite small and doesn’t take a long time to get around. This hotel is close to Plaza Cataluna where all our skates meet and some of the Skatefreshers are staying there.

Cost
The skating part of the trip costs £90 per person and includes tours, skate tips while on route and some lesson spots during the weekend as well as assistance on the Friday night skate if you need it. The speed of their street skate is similar to London’s Wednesday night skate (faster than Sunday Stroll but slower than FNS).
